The main function is to execute business and sales strategies through managing, leading and directing the account/area’s team in the implementation of key initiatives that support the on-going sustainability and profitability of the division.

Candidates for this position must have A BSc Degree or equivalent in Chemistry / Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering and a Post Graduate Business Qualification will be advantageous (e.g. MDP).

A minimum of 5 years technical sales experience in the General Water Treatment Industry with additional experience in managing Export Accounts is a pre-requisite for this position.

The successful candidate will be able to handle pressure, work independently as well as be a team player, with a positive, self-motivated attitude. The successful candidate will have an innovative and forward-thinking outlook with cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity coupled with advanced problem-solving and risk assessment skills, decision making, negotiation and conflict management and coaching and mentoring skills.

An individual who is assertive, highly ethical and principle-driven with accountability and having the ability to hold others accountable is required.

A valid driver’s licence, strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft packages, as well as an understanding of business systems is a necessity. Candidates must also be willing to work irregular hours and travel extensively.
