ACCOUNTANT (for Africa subsidiaries) – Midrand, JHB

Multi-national firm headquartered in South Africa, looking for an Accountant (for Africa subsidiaries) to be based in the Head-Office, reporting directly to the Group FM, and working with the African businesses

Job description
• The standard financial disciplines apply, namely: Process journals, Reconciliations, Cashbook, Oversee Debtors and Creditors of African Businesses, and other adhoc work, when required.
• Ideally, you can work with minimal supervision, so being a self-starter is a must.
• The job involves travel to the African subs – mainly Nigeria – on a quarterly basis, where you are well taken care of (everything is provided for, including a driver).


Experience & Skills Required:
• Qualified Accountant - BCompt with Articles(AGA)
• SAIPA or CIMA
• Min 3 year articles, maybe with 1-year post experience
• Computer literacy - aptitude for accounting programs (i.e. Sage Evolution)
• Preferable someone that has worked with stock/inventory; doesn’t matter in which industry
• Ideally – someone who can work with minimal supervision, so being a self-starter is a must

• Excellent communication skills
• Good reporting skills
• Attention to detail / Accuracy

Salary: R30k – 40K CTC – negotiable with the experience
