We're seeking a Group Accountant for our client, 6 months contract from Feb. 2024 - July 2024 from the Tableview area.

Preparation of all accounts, financial planning and budgeting, reporting of budget variances, cost control and cost analysis programmes. Ensure that all administrative Policies and procedures are adhered to.

Duties & Responsibilities
Review the weekly and monthly bank reconciliation
- Compilation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconciling items to be sorted within 30 days
- Assist with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounting Pack
- Review monthly creditors reconciliations prior to payments being released
- Posting of journals
- Review journals posted by bookkeepers and debtors and creditors clerks
- Assist with monthly Operational Cash flow requirement calculations
- Submission of loan applications in accordance with submission guidelines
- Submit capex applications including financial justification for values over R100k
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and process deprecation journals
- Vat review and reconcilation
- Check Payroll reconcilation
- Supervision and training of team
- Prepare and process monthly and repeating journals in AJS
- Assistance with submission and review of corporate and employee taxes
- Check the reconcilation of intercompany loans, trade receivables and payables as
well as intercompany transactions
- Coach and train team members where necessary
- Maintain the chart of accounts in the trial balance
- Assist with the annual audit preparation and coordinate the auditors requirements/
requests from the team
- Supervisory role within the system of internal control

Finance related qualification
SAIPA trainee
2-3 years’ experience Managing a Finance team

Package & Remuneration
Salary: R36 000 - R42 000 per month (based on experience and qualificaton)
Contract: 6 Months

Working hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 4:30pm)
Onsite - Office based
