Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Western National Insurance division. The incumbent should be able to perform the full accounting function up to trial balance as well as have worked in a team and a very deadline driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Journals, Importing/ Exporting and processing up to trial balance
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Electronic Funds Transfers
• Income and payments on bank statement to balance to cashbook
• Correct account, cost centre and company allocations
• Preparation of audit working papers
• Invoices to be checked and follow up on outstanding/ unallocated payments
• Respond to queries

Minimum Requirements & Skillset:

• Financial qualification (Degree/ B.Tech)
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience, short term insurance experience essential

• Experience in accounting packages such as Great Plains, SAP, Accpac advantageous
