The Dealership Accountant is responsible for providing financial administrative clerical services for the branch financial department in order to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations. The Administrator must comply with the Financial Administration Act, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and departmental procedures that may change due to operational requirements, within the guidelines and budgetary constraints that apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient finance office operations:

To provide support to branches and area staff on financial matters.
The post holder will report to the Financial Manager (FM)and will also work closely with the following:

Finance team especially the other Branch Accountants.
Staff throughout the finance department.
Auditors (Internal/External and branch auditors
Qualifications:

Preference will be given to individuals with a Bcom qualification.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent.
Experience (Specialist skills)

Preference will be given to individuals with APD experience and prior experience in the motor industry.
Good working knowledge of all aspects of finance and accounting systems.
Excellent technical accounting and analytical skills.
Proven experience in preparation of accounts.
Advanced Technical & IT skills.
Excellent presentation skills – Ability to present complex information in a reasoned and logical way appropriate to a range of audiences.
Strong background in financial accounting
