Our client in Montague Gardens, who imports, exports and distributes seafood products locally and to many countries worldwide, would like to appoint an Accounts Payable Manager/Creditors Manager to ensure that the department operates smoothly, maintain accurate and complete records regarding payments to suppliers, process payments from clients, and hire, train, and support Accounts Payable staff members. You will also serve as a liaison between the Accounts Payable department and external parties, including lenders, suppliers, and government agencies.
Responsibilities include:
Ability to manage volumes; Experience working with foreign currencies would be beneficial; Manage the full Accounts Payable function; Ability to manage a direct team of 3 staff members; Training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members; Experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in large and high-volume AP environments; and Extensive knowledge about accounting and management principles and Accounts Payable procedures.
Qualifications and experience:
A minimum of Matric and Accounting qualification will be an added advantage; 8 to 10 years’ experience in accounts payable; and Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP.
