AACA is seeking acting lecturers to join our institution. Lecturers will be involved in both the Screen Acting and the Theatre Acting courses.
Key responsibilities:

LECTURING: 48808 – NQF 4 – Further Education and Training Certificate: Performing Arts.
STUDENT SUPPORT & TUTORING
ASSESSMENTS: Preparing, setting, marking and analysing of examination scripts, assignments and providing remedial support.
LESSON PLANS: Drawing up of comprehensive lesson plans and the use of audio-visual resources and other relevant tools to add values to the teaching-learning process.

Other duties:
Invigilation during examinations
Marketing/consulting during registration.

Requirements:
Degree in Drama & Theatre or Performing Arts degree.
Minimum 5 years experience in the acting industry
Ability to use various effective lecturing .styles/methods to accommodate every learner
Being up to date with the latest trends.

Competencies:
Knowledge of acting techniques and a passion for lecturing.
Ability to perform arts administration functions such as stage management.
Basic knowledge of any performance technologies such as lighting or sound.
Ability to design aspects of performance such as set or costume.
Good command of English
Ability to effectively and efficiently work under pressure and meet deadlines.
