Technical & Administrative Specialist

This role is traditionally in a back office setting and is accountable for assigned responsibilities that will relate to the efficient day to day running of retirement group annuity solutions already set in place for existing clients.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team that forms the operational arm of the core Employee Benefits offering with exposure primarily to Post-Retirement Medical Aid Solutions.

The successful incumbent will carry out technical and administrative work through their own efforts, with minimum guidance, while continually looking for ways to streamline processes.
• Data administration and management.
• Regular reconciliation of records between the business, stakeholders and clients to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Internal stakeholder management.
• Accountable for annuity quote process for new and existing retirees and related record keeping.
• Accountable for annuity asset report preparations and information sharing on monthly basis.
• Accountable for ad-hoc technical and administrative duties relating to delivering service to the existing client portfolio.
Qualification(s) and Experience required:
• Grade 12
• Tertiary Qualification (Commerce/Science/Business Science) or
• National Diploma (Accounting Sciences/Engineering/Tech) or
• NQF7 (National Certificate in Financial Services’ related field)
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience and financial services knowledge
• Employee Benefit/Retirement industry knowledge
