Actuarial Manager: Business Partner & Reporting
Sandton and Cape Town

Oversee a small team who will assist the business in consolidating financial results and various risk exposures, linking metrics and extracting insights for business consideration. Report to the Finance Actuary and work closely with the CFO of Rest of Africa, CFO’s of the various RoA Countries, and various reporting teams to ensure all reporting requirements are well understood and deliveries met.
• Business support: Use actuarial knowledge and skills to provide strategic support to the business and individual RoA countries on various projects.
• Financial, Business & Risk Reporting: Effective and timeous delivery of management, risk and financial reports.
• Ensure that management information remains relevant and clear with coverage of key aspects of business performance against targets.
• Business Planning & Forecasting: Provide actuarial modelling and other input into the segment business plan, and other strategic initiatives.
• Management Actions: Propose management actions in response to reported metrics and ensure that the process to implement and track agreed management actions is well managed to deliver the targeted improved outcomes.
• Process efficiency and automation: Ensure processes are efficient, robust and fit for purpose. Ensure the control environment is adequate and effective.
• IFRS17: Support the delivery of IFRS17 in Rest of Africa, working with Project Manager, Programme Subject Matter Experts and Delivery Leads in RoA countries.
• Ad-hoc projects: Support the delivery of relevant project objectives, as and when these arise.

• A qualified Actuary with at least 8 years’ relevant experience.
• IFRS17 implementation experience would be an advantage
• Experience leading a team. l14.5o
