Actuarial Specialist

An exciting opportunity exists for an actuarial student within the Corporate Actuarial team that focuses on the Corporate Product Range. Responsible for monthly profit reporting and quarterly valuations in respect of Group Risk products.
• Preparing and analyzing input data
• Monthly profit reporting and quarterly valuations in respect of Group Risk Products which include Group Life, Funeral, Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) and Lump Sum Disability
• Detailed analysis of the profits to assist management to manage the book of business pro-actively
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing the necessary changes after collaboration with all stakeholders
• Assisting with implementing the IFRS17 requirements into the Group Risk reporting process.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial or Business Sciences.
• Good progress with the A100 and A200 series (CT series) exams.
• Two to three years' working experience would be ideal.
• A good working knowledge of the MS-Office packages, specifically Excel and Word Advanced.
• Microsoft Excel capabilities will be a distinct advantage.
• A good understanding of Group Risk products will be an advantage. m25.9m
