Actuarial Specialist at Group Finance and BSM

Responsible for monthly profit reporting and quarterly valuations in respect of Group Risk products.

• Preparing and analysing input data
• Monthly profit reporting and quarterly valuations in respect of Group Risk Products which include Group Life, Funeral, Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) and Lump Sum Disability
• Detailed analysis of the profits to assist management to manage the book of business pro-actively
• Assisting with implementing the IFRS 17 requirements into the Group Risk reporting process
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing the necessary changes after collaboration with all stakeholders

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial or Business Sciences.
• Good progress with the A100 and A200 series (CT series) exams.
• Two to three years' working experience would be ideal
• A good working knowledge of the MS-Office packages, specifically Excel and Word
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities will be a distinct advantage
• A good understanding of Group Risk products will be an advantage.
