Valuations Actuarial Analyst

• Capital management production and reporting for management information
• Producing and reporting on SAM, IFRS and Solvency II valuations
• ORSA figures production working closely with the risk management team
• Continuous improvement of the valuation process, systems & reports
• Provide management with information on significant and important movements in results & profitability
• Ensure stability, trustworthiness and maintenance of valuation models
• Ensure appropriateness of the valuation data, models and assumptions
• Ensure sound relationships with all internal stakeholders
• Assist the Manager in managing major projects

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Degree in Actuarial Science
• Progress with actuarial exams important
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in Life Valuations on different bases
• Experience in capital management including ORSA in SAM valuations and reporting,
especially completion of the QRTs and ARTs.
• Ability to plan and work within tight deadlines
• Preferably an adequate understanding of reinsurance
• Good verbal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of AXIS valuation software would be advantageous
• Programming kills in SQL or VBA would be an advantage.
