A leading Procurement and Project Management Company in Cape Town is looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant: Procurement and Capturing. The successful person will provide back-office administrative functions and will be reporting daily to an external company based in Europe via Skype/Zoom/Phone. Strong verbal and writing communication skills are critical with French Speaking being an added bonus. Very good English is workable though.
Key tasks:
Data entry and capturing of quotes in client online systems & internal ERP; review of supplier proposals including control units and conformity to client requirements; verification of the currency to be used; application of the tariffs selected; transmission of quotes to the manager; uploading to relevant systems for submission on approval; close communication with Commercial Manager of relevant proposals on anomalies & applications; validation of client orders on receipt; and processing of orders to invoicing for suppliers & clients alike on ERP.

Skills and competencies:
• Knowledge of international trade techniques;
• Language: Fluent English, French Advantageous
IT competencies: Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. ERP system
• Ability to work independently and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Organized, reactive, thorough and adaptable
• Excellent communication skills, interpretation and capacity for initiative
Relevant experience in the administration of International trade; logistics and in Ship Chandling would be a plus.
