We are seeking an Administrator, reporting to a Manager within the Hedge Division of Sanne, to assist our Cash Custody Team with the processing of payments and related transactions; Sanne Custody SA (Pty) Ltd acts as a cash custodian, ensuring a separation of assets between portfolio managers, the portfolio, the administrator and those of investors. Key activities include Cash Custody; Custody of assets held by Fund of Hedge Funds and Safe Custody of documents.

Key responsibilities:

The brief description outlined above will involve the following specific duties:

Cash Custody:
- Prepare and upload debit order files;
- Call down cash from prime brokers for fee and redemption payments;
- Manage fund fee payments and
- Manage payments related to Private Equity and Structured Finance funds.

Custody of Assets held by Funds of Hedge Funds:
- Capture trades in custody system;
- Filing of contract notes of the underlying single strategy funds;
- Completing and submitting subscription and redemption documents on behalf of certain Funds of Hedge Funds;
- Verify each underlying holding on a monthly basis and
- Servicing ad hoc clients request for information.

Safe Custody:
- Filling of physical scrip / loan and other agreements and
- Ensure that the register is up to date and accurately records what is held in safe custody.

Other:
- Establish excellent client relationships and providing high quality service and productivity;
- Assist the external auditors to ensure the audit function is executed on a timely and efficient basis;
- Open bank accounts for new funds and
- Provide access to bank accounts.

Skills / experience

The successful candidate must have:
- 3 – 5 years Unit Trust and or Hedge Fund experience.
- Effective time management skills to achieve deadlines;
- A high level of problem-solving skills;
- Exceptional communication skills and
- Good knowledge / understanding of FICA / AML requirements.
