Purpose of the Role:
The candidate for the investment operations role will work with the existing administration and risk management personnel, as well as third party administrators, prime brokers and risk service providers to ensure timeous and accurate fund administration, risk reporting, client liaison, and related activities, while seeking continuous improvement to the operational processes. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
The ideal candidate will have the required technical skills and experience and be motivated to develop their career in a dynamic environment, where due to the small team, roles are fluid and a willingness to take on responsibility is welcomed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Portfolio administration, risk analysis and reporting (hedge and long funds):
o Trade processing and reconciliation, incl. liaison with administrators and brokers
o Review daily, weekly and monthly fund NAVs and fund performance
o Review of reports received from the risk provider
o Review of administrators’ NAV, fee calculations, profit and loss reports, investor statements, distributions
o Liaison with third party administrators, prime brokers, risk service providers, Mancos, clients, investors
o Investment manager queries and requests
o Investor queries
o Analysing and reporting fund and risk data
o TER / TIC calculations and reporting
o Preparation of MDDs
o Proxy voting management

• Compliance
o Monitor daily fund compliance and when necessary report to compliance officer
o Maintain compliance register
Qualifications and Experience:
• Commerce degree, with financial accounting

• Relevant experience within the financial services industry and investment management in particular, which could have been gained at a fund administrator or another investment manage
