RedCat Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (6 MONTH CONTRACT ONLY) for a large national concern – position based in Pietermaritzburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Very strong computer knowledge (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced MS Excel skills ESSENTIAL!
BCom Accounting Degree (must include auditing).
Auditing Honours, CIA (advantageous).
Completed SAICA articles (or equivalent).
Internal audit understanding. Must be able to implement controls and monitor them.
Have good business acumen and understanding of FMCG processes.
Understand the various business cycles, ie debtors, cash, Inventory, etc.
Must be able to meet deadlines – without exceptions.
Should be able to analysis large amounts of data
Able to operate in a difficulty trading environment.
Must be prepared to work long hours when required.
Must be prepared to travel throughout KwaZulu-Natal.
