MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
• Hospitality qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years’ work experience as Assistant Front Office Manager / Team Leader/Guest Relations in a hotel/lodge
• Hospitality/Tourism related tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
• Proficient in Apex Plus Point and Eres would be a recommendation.
• Attention to detail.
• Prepared to work shifts, overtime and public holidays.
• Well-spoken and proficient in English and Excellent Interpersonal skills

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis.
• Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.
• Monitors adherence to all credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and rebates.
• Collaborates with the Front Office Manager on ways to continually improve departmental service.
• Ensure activities and performance that lead to high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Ensuring that the correct ordering procedures for all Telephones, Room Keys, Front Office Capital Expenditure, are adhered to; and expenses maintained within the budgetary constraints
• Advising the General Manager in advance of any out of stock situation with the suppliers.
• Ensuring that the relevant Month end Reports are submitted timorously to the Financial Manager and General Manager to ensure correct financial Reporting.
• Ensuring effective Revenue and Cash Control and ensure that all policies in terms of Paid-outs, No-Shows, Floats, Rate Discrepancies and Credit Control is adhered to as per the Front Office Manual.
• Responsible for Revenue Maximization by ensuring that the correct yielding and reservations procedures are adhered to as per the Front Office Manual; whilst ensuring all Non-Definite bookings are confirmed at least 60 days prior to arrival.
• Ensuring that the Reservations and Pre-Payment Policies are strictly adhered to.
