Our client requires the service of an Assistant Livestock Manager to assist the Livestock Manager regarding livestock (cattle & sheep).

Key performance areas:

? Stay up to date on industry trends and technical knowledge
? Understand nutritional requirements for livestock
? Receive, inspect, medically treat and transfer livestock
? Assist in accurate recordkeeping of livestock activities
? Assist the Livestock Manager in consultation with veterinarians to ensure animal health is maintained
? Influence a positive workforce environment by following safety policies and modeling safe work practices
? Stay up to date on necessary information regarding the livestock
? Follow safety and health standards

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a Agricultural diploma / degree in Animal production / relevant tertiary qualification
? Min of 1-2 year’s experience in a similar role
? Good planning and organizational skills
? Good communications skills
? Must be able to use initiative to solve problems
