ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER – Historical Wine Estate, Stellenbosch

Our client is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the restaurant team on a Historical Wine Estate in the prestigious Stellenbosch area. The restaurant operates five days per week. The destination boasts with a with an original Cape Dutch homestead built in 1803. Recently a state of the art tasting room and restaurant has been furnished inside one of the historical wings of the cellar.

The perfect individual must have a solid work ethic, strong wine knowledge, passionate about the food and wine industry with a hands-on approach to service operations.

Apart from assisting with daily restaurant operations, key functions include continued staff development, strict inventory control, promote wine sales, consult with potential clients for weddings, events, functions, and corporate events.

Position Requirements

• Formal Hospitality and Wine qualification will be advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to lead and manage a team of people effectively
• Strong management skills
• Guest and service orientated
• Resourceful and an exceptional eye for detail
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle

Remuneration: R16 000 pm
