Assistant -, Tester -, & Senior Construction Materials Testers (Contract)

Area: Mthatha, Eastern Cape

Remuneration:
Depending on experience and seniority will vary from R5500 – R8500 p/m plus accomodation
• Assistant Tester – R5500 P/M plus accommodation
• Tester – R7500 P/M Plus accommodation
• Senior Tester – R8500 P/M Plus accommodation

Overview:
Construction materials testing using a wide range of tests and observations performed in the laboratory and the field during construction to determine compliance with the plans, specifications, and referenced industry standards.

Duties:
• Adhering to material sampling plans,
• Hardness testing,
• Using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators),
• Collecting materials on-site for testing in the laboratory, such as for soil compaction or concrete stress tests
• Document results

Qualifications and experience:
Grade 12
Previous testing and laboratory experience required
