Job Description

Work with an assigned mentor and receive technical and practical training
Learn the proper functioning of audit programs that are approved by the company
Manage work in progress and write offs
Ensure billings of clients are accurate
Follow up on fee queries
Examine balance sheets, loss accounts and profit in detail
Assist Debtors
Create reports to send back to the managers of the organization
Negotiate budgets/fees and overruns for clients once fee base has been agreed to with the partner
Identify any problems & risks for assessing the reporting systems of the company
Ensure that the audit planning is signed off before commencement of the audit
Pay attention to all the details associated with the job of an audit trainee
Communicate deadlines and budget to staff
Liaise with clients and preparation of the schedule of audit requirements
Assist in generating new client leads by using different tools and platforms e.g. networking, client base analysis; diversifying from a current project
Familiarise with the clients in order to maintain & develop good relationships by giving maximum importance to clients
Assist with new client research, presentation and pitch preparation
Participate in special assignments as and when required.

Minimum Requirements

Chartered Tax Advisor qualification/Bcom Honours in Accounting
Knowledge in legal compliance & corporate finance
Knowledge of SFAS rules (statement of financial accounting standards)
Financial software
Must have a valid driver’s license
