Ensuring that proper daily, weekly and monthly planning is done to ensure that the correct product orders are placed with the Factory and Production Manager.
Ensuring that the daily orders, and specials are planned and delegated to the Butchery Clerks to ensure that order deadlines are met and customers receive their orders as scheduled.
Ensure that the fridges and hi-backs are well stocked in line with the merchandising and display protocols.
Ensuring that sell-buy dates are checked daily.
Providing responsive, exceptional service to meat counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations and responding to requests.
Recommending, slicing, weighing, packing, and pricing products.
Preparing special orders.
Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order.
Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.
Attending all stock takes and signing off on stock takes as necessary. Variances to be investigated and explained weekly.
Ensure product receiving protocols are adhered to, where product is received from suppliers and the Factory.
Leading by example, for staff and fostering good working relations between employees.
Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.
Prepare in conjunction with the Production Manager the staff shift roster, one month in advance.
