Portfolio Manager
Positions in Queenstown and Newcastle

• Build and maintain relationships with Brokers / Intermediaries
• Collaborate with clients to facilitate product training interventions to create awareness regarding the processes and operational aspects of the product
• Manage the broker / intermediary solutions embedded with a client and ensure that optimum business flows from the solution.
• Continuously identify new broker / intermediary solution opportunities within the client's environment.
• Ensure technical product and legislative knowledge is always current in order to propose the most relevant and innovative client solutions whilst complying with governance requirement
• Service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
• Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints and provide feedback to customers on matters resolved
• Comply with corporate governance policies, procedures and standards.
• Operate within agreed mandates.
• Align own behaviour with the organisation culture and values
• Share and transfer product, process and systems knowledge to colleagues
• Partner and collaborate with clients, Human Resources and Commercial, Personal Lines and Distribution teams to effectively operationalise the product or solution within the agreed timeframes
• Ensure achievement of own performance objectives
• Actively share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas
• Actively participate in own professional development and career path

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Grade 12 with Insurance Level IV qualification
• Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in underwriting and / or claims
• 2 years’ experience insurance sales
