The role
We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our business development drive in South Africa. The specialist will be reporting to the Head of Business Development and Client Relations, South Africa.
Key responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Head of Business Development and Client Relations, to develop a strong pipeline of profitable opportunities that align to our target client market sets (Private Equity, Real Assets, Private Credit, Capital Markets and Hedge) through adopting a proactive and structured approach to client engagement.
- Collaborates with other divisional counterparties to identify and follow up on cross selling opportunities in order to meet cross divisional sales targets.
- Updating of client records on Console, including the pipeline, contact details, and details of meetings.
-Assist with the scheduling of calls and meeting.
- Assist with the preparation for client meetings, participate in client meetings, preparation of minutes and updating of action trackers.
- Assisting with the monitoring of action trackers and following up on outstanding tasks, when needed.
- Preparation of new business proposals and engagement letters for existing and new clients.
- Collaborating with the Business Implementation team to ensure that all client related fiduciary and administrative duties are undertaken in a timely and effective basis, including the preparation of Administration Agreements and Service Level Agreements.
- To assist with the management of Sanne’s Client Care Plans
Skills / experience
-Commerce degree or diploma with:
-Good understanding of the alternatives market, its spectrum of investment strategies and key drivers;
-Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
-Structured and detail oriented;
-Excellent customer service and communication skills;
-Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines;
-Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
-Proficient in MS Excel, MS Power Point and PowerBI.
