To strategically design and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing and rolling out BI solutions to end users.

• BSc Computer Science; BSc Programming; BCom Informatics

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 5 years information management experience in a financial services environment
PREFERRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 5 years Senior MIS Analyst experience in a financial services environment

KEY RESULT AREAS
Writing business requirements specifications
• Business analysis to gather required BI data system requirements.
• Able to understand and liaise with the business stakeholders to identify the requirements and documenting the requirements
• Determine current state of business requirements, business terms, and business rules and data sources.
• Take a lead role in the project definition and analysis phases for BI projects.

Business Intelligence Support
• Translate business requirements into specifications that will determine data store/ data warehouse/ data mart design and configuration
• Provide support to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data, and BI environments for internal users
• Actively monitor and maintain scheduling of key production reports ensuring production reports are processing on-time and without errors
• Prepare project plans in terms of data requirements for completion an implementation
• Ad-hoc Analytics
• Utilize analytics tools (SQL) to provide actionable insights
• Provide ad-hoc analytics based on business requests
• Utilize data to support recommendations
Mentoring and Training
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
• Acts as technical go to person for junior staff members
