OBJECTIVES

Buy according to specs at best quality and best prices and terms
Keep stock holding to a minimum
Keep all critical stock at required specs and levels
Give immediate and super quick service at breakdowns – all shifts
Have no outstanding orders
Top access and other controls over stores
Comply with admin and control procedures at all times
Get rid of stock that does not move
Ensure stock items are referenced to exact machine supplier’s parts numbers and specs
Have 100% service levels at night shift and after hours
Ensure all parts and materials needed for shutdown are on site on time
Have proper control over bakkies and usage
Have proper control over stores staff
Ensure maximum security over stock at all times
Accurate recording and on time recording of all stock items movements
Explore new items at all times
Control over scrap metal and old parts
Have excellent communications with all departments
Attend production meetings
Keep your management informed always
Do daily stock takes
Add value at all times
Control of diesel and fuel
Report any gifts or offers or clash of interests
Weekly report and meetings with admin management
Effective operation of salvage yard
All documents to be processed same day

REQUIREMENTS

10 experience – buyer, consumables stores manager

Critical - at least 5 years solid hands on experience of large consumables stores and purchasing software packages.

At least 5 years experience in manufacturing environments

Good interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications will be an advantage
