Skills & Qualifications & Experience

• Complete Diploma in supply chain management or related qualification
• +5 years working experience in supply chain management / procurement
• planning and organisational skills
• spoken and written communication skills
• problem-solving and be able to work in a pressurised environment
• good geographical knowledge of the Kwazulu Natal Region
• Buildsmart & Pastel Knowledge (will be an added advantage)
• Construction & Plant & logistics exp (will be an added advantage)
• Drivers licence
• Good negotiation skills

Key Competency Requirements:

• To expedite requisitions received
• To ensure that requisition orders are acquired at the right time, with the best quality and at the right price at all times
• Source suppliers & items required for purchase
• To ensure that correct items are requested at all times
• To liaise with requester, ensure drawings/ specifications are met.
• To advise lead times / negotiate with suppliers on time & price for orders placed.
• Collect Goods required from supplier
• Attend site meetings
• Responsible to check supplier documents complied by Stores controller for submission to Finance. (DN)
