The ideal candidate as a Cash and Position Recons Officer Perform the Cash reconciliation functions for the various Trading desks post Settlement date (S+1).
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that the outstanding cash items are investigated thoroughly.
Monitor outstanding cash items and ensure all items are resolved within 2 days, except for interest, reserving costs, and etcetera. Escalate outstanding items where required. Collate all cash data for the MI reporting once all reconciliations are prepared. Forward the Reconciliation reports to the required audiences. Ensure that all process documents are kept current and up to date. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external clients. Stand in for staff as required. Assist Management as and when required
Ensuring that all outstanding Cash items are investigated and escalated within the specified timeframes and do not exceed 7 days
Liaising with counterparties, BO staff, or Traders as applicable for outstanding items.
Analyzing all current processes and strives for continuous improvement.
Ensure that processes are kept current and up to date.
Identifying risks and ensuring that there are adequate controls in place to minimize risks.
Ensuring that checklists are completed daily. Maintaining KRIs and checklists at 98% Green RAG status.
Provide support to team members and assist with cross training of functions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Matric
BComm degree or Studies in Financial Markets
Foreign Exchange Fundamentals knowledge
SWIFT
Must be ITC and Crime record clear
Additional preferred education/ knowledge
Suitable knowledge within Derivative Processing
Derivative Product knowledge
Foreign Exchange knowledge
Package & Remuneration
Salary:: R195 – R348 (Depending on experience)
Contract Period – 6 months
