Your key job responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer in Cape Town will include:

- Lead the creation and focused execution of the business strategy
- Ensure effective implementation of the strategy by means of providing direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps as well as processes and governance
- Oversee regular review of the organisational strategy and roadmap to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
- Accountable for major corporate decisions
- Sustainable growth and commercial performance
- Accountable for a customer obsessed and healthy company culture that will enable meaningful and customer centred innovation
- Accountable for ethical operations and open communication between the Board and the team

- Report on a periodic basis to Executive Digital and FinTech relating to progress made within the business and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization
- Responsible for effective allocation of capital and commercial management
- Operational delivery
- Define and implement an organization wide talent attraction, development and retention strategy
- Accountable for inspiring employee engagement and optimizing human capital

Requirements for this Chief Executive Officer job in Cape Town:

- 10+ years successful track records as senior commercial lead of a digital company
- Minimum of 4 year tertiary degree (Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field) coupled with MBA or Masters would be a plus
- Track record of: creating a vision for success, driving commercial growth, inspiring employee engagement, anticipating customer needs, and achieving significant market share
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-driven and ability to motivate a fast-paced team
- Understanding emerging markets advantageous
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
- Pan Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous
- Attitude of Innovation, inventiveness and thought leadership
- Willing and flexible to travel within Africa
