3 years Chef De Partie experience in 5* Game Lodges required.

Tertiary Chef's qualification required - Diploma - Formal Chef's Academy.

Basic computer skills beneficial

First Aid and Fire Training preferable but not essential

English speaking and written

Driver’s License preferable

Experience of stock control and food

Preparation of food in line with Company Excellence

Guest interaction to enrich guest satisfaction

Hands on approach

Sensitive to cultural issues/patient with team members

Ability to share ideas/new recipes with colleagues and train them

Good social and interpersonal skills

Confidence in explaining dinner menu in front of guests from time to time

Sense of ownership and pride for the guest experience

Good eye for detail

Ability to work long, flexible hours

Flexible attitude and willing to take on tasks as necessary

Able to interact with guests and behave appropriately

Ability to plan and organize

Knowledge of good kitchen hygiene practice

Well groomed and a good sense of personal hygiene

Realistic expectations of bush life

A sense of fun and understanding of the Virgin way of doing things

Salary R 8 500.00 including accommodation.
