Chef de Partie - Stellenbosch

We are now in search for a Chef de Partie for an award winning and leading 5* Star Estate. This chef is someone who has a dynamic disposition when it comes to dealing with lower and senior management essentially being the glue of the operations. Efficiency, Ambition and Charisma are most advantageous to achieving ascension within this outstanding culinary offering.

Upon appointment candidates must have and be able to carry out the following roles and responsibilities:

Character & Skills

Clear communication
Be honest and have integrity
Great cooking
A cool head
An ability to delegate appropriately
Organisational flair
A grasp of profit margins

Key responsibilities:

Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality/ies.
Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

Experience & Qualifications:

4 years as Chef - 2 years as CDP
4/5* upper market eateries OR Fine Dining (advantageous)
Own Car & Drivers License (Preferred)
