Overview

Our Client is seeking to employ a qualified CDP to join their team in Stellenbosch. This award winning restaurant is located on a well-known family owned wine farm and golf estate.

Responsibilities
• The ability to run a section effectively and efficiently
• Preparing and presenting dishes of high quality
• Managing and training Demi-chef de parties or commis with you
• Ensuring you and your team have the highest stands of food hygiene and follow rules of health and safety
• Good communication skills
• Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
Requirements
• Good communication skills, on all levels
• Great cooking skills
• A cool head
• Organisational flair
• a Grasp of profit margins
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience
• Formal Training / Diploma
• A recognised 3-year hospitality qualification
• Focused, Driven, Deadline driven, Serious about growth, professional
• Work well under pressure
• Neat with high regard for personal hygiene and presentation
• Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
Remuneration
R8 000 per month

Consideration
Candidates, who are already residing in the Western Cape will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence! No Work Permit applications will be accepted! Applicants, who live in other provinces of South Africa still need to attend personal interviews and if requested to do any cook-offs, will do so completely at their own expense.
