CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – Based in Rosebank.
Salary at between R1.5 – R3m per annum. (They will go higher for the right person)

The purpose of the role is to provide strategic direction to lead, mentor and manage the finance division. Armed with 7 years of experience at Group Financial Director / CFO level, specifically from Investment Financial Services / Corporate Finance, the successful incumbent will be required to inter alia:

• Accountable for the Finance operating function, including taxation, IT and Office Management for the Company.
• Manage the overall IT, systems and operating effectiveness.
• Implementation of proper IT risk management and IT governance.
• Implement, monitor and maintain various strategic and operational projects as required.
• Reviewing and assisting with central treasury function for cash management, including Loans amortisation.
• Accountable for risk management report preparation.
• Accountable for monthly Management Accounts.
• Oversee cash book reviews and balance sheet accounts to ensure all costs are correctly charged and reconciled;
• Ensure also that forecasting cash requirements is done quarterly or as and when requested, and cash usage is reported on monthly.
• Delivery of the cash report on monthly basis.
• Oversee intercompany payables/receivables balances for monthly reporting
• Oversee reconciliations for intercompany transactions between the fair values and transaction cost.
• Oversee updating of the asset, preference share assets schedules, preference share liability schedules and any contractual changes in the agreements as well as ensuring that the insurances are up-to-date.
• Accountable for group consolidations and review of financial statements.
• Preparation of Group budget and Forecasts
• Work closely with the Corporate Finance team, in supporting them with financial information and guidance.
• Assist with workflow projections and forecasts in instances of company acquisitions and disposals.
• Assist in preparing accounting opinions and tax opinions needed during the corporate finance deal process.

Minimum requirements for the role include and are not limited to:
• CA(SA)
• 7 years in Group Finance Leadership role, within Financial Services.
• Stakeholder engagement knowledge and skills at a senior level.
• Experience and knowledge of legislation governing financial reporting.
• Good written and oral communications skills and understanding of effective company structures for effective delivery.
• Being a leader in creating a transformed and entrepreneurial work environment.
• Be able to translate strategy formulated into plans and execute.
