Purpose of the role

The CFO will take accountability for the financial health of the business by guiding the business leaders on financial
planning and management performance, risk management, and long-term sustainability planning of the company’s
finances. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for accurate setting-up and implementation of financial
accounting principles and policies in the business, scenario and financial planning and budgeting, treasury function,
as well as leadership of the finance and administration team across the various divisions and functions of the
company. The CFO will be accountable for accurate and regular reporting of financial activities of the business to a
variety of the company’s stakeholders including the Shareholder, the Board of Directors, as well as Executive
management.

The CFO is also expected to and liaise with the company’s funders, internal auditors as well as external auditors in
relation to financial requirements as well as risk and internal control environment affairs of the company.

Qualifications

Matriculation or Grade 12
B Com Honours in Accounting Finance
Registered CA (SA)/ACMA (CIMA)

Experience

Minimum 10 years Financial Management or Executive Role (post CA qualification) for a medium
to large entity in a manufacturing FMCG sector

Poultry industry experience and previous experience as Chief
Financial Officer will be an added advantage
