Job Description

Analyse business trend and intelligence
Ensure functional process optimisation
Oversee and survey Risk Management and control
Enforce compliance to any company and and legal policies within the mining environment
Plan out and implement changes approved by upper management and the monitoring thereof
Plan, asses and direct Quality Management
Gather survey information and resources and write reports
Ensure and declare valid mine and harbour figures as well as control and measure final product figures
Create and implement effective operations practices and models
Supply input into functional planning
Keep updated on micro and macro changes and conditions
Implement cost control systems
Maintain and established relationships with clients
Tracks and maintains survey supplies such as stakes and marking equipment; ensures safety devices are present and in use as appropriate.
Compile legally compliant mine plans aligned with Department of Mineral Resources requirements
Compile monthly safety reports and ensure the compliance with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12
GCC Mine Surveying
N.Diploma (NQF 6) in Mine Surveying
B.Degree/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Mine Surveying
N. Higher Diploma (NQF 7) in Mineral Resource Management advantageous
3 years’ management exp.
7 years relevant surveying exp.
Proficient in MS Office, SHERQ systems, Microstation, Terra Modeller, Maptek, Leica Infinity and trimble realworks software
