Introduction:
Small to medium sized business based in the South of Johannesburg is looking to employ a CNC Milling Programmer.

Educational Requirements:
Formal Education: Qualified CNC Milling Programmer or/and
Qualified Toolmaker or/and
Qualified Machinist
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in similar role.
Language: English/Afrikaans

Main Objective:
Responsible for the programming and setting of CNC machines.

Main Responsibilities:
Program, set-up and operate CNC machines according to the job specifications received.
Ensure machines are maintained and in good, safe operational condition.

Requirements:
Have a firm understanding of the CNC programming process.
Must be proficient with milling, turning, grinding.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
Must be proficient in all relevant measuring equipment.
Successful candidate must be able to work under immense pressure.
Must have an organised systematic approach.
Must have own reliable transport.

Additional Requirements:
Understanding of the CNC process.
CNC Programming and Setting skills.
CAM / CAD software experience.
Machinist or toolmaking experience will be an added advantage.

Willingness to work weekends, overtime, public holidays as and when expected.
Develop an expert knowledge of the industry and utilise it to enhance and develop the efficiency of the organisation with service to the members as main criteria.
