Job title: Assistant Cost Controller / COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) Analyst / Dispatch Controller
Summary: Responsible for monitoring / controlling costs for all incoming raw products, the process and costs of production up to and including point of delivery / receipt by the client
Availability: This is a full-time, salaried position / part of the Management Team
Reports into: General Manager directly

Focus of the position:
• Analyse, assess and review all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure best price practices
• Evaluate operating, manufacturing and production costs and make proactive recommendations / offer solutions
• Distill overall costs and provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
• Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures
• Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs
• Research and establish new vendors for maximum cost-cutting partnerships
• Liaise and communicate with all operations / production heads for improved utilisation of resources
• Control and monitor dispatch and delivery of assembled, packed and labelled items

Requirements & Qualifications
• Diploma / degree in finance or relevant field strongly preferred
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in cost control
• Management experience strongly preferred
• Exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid networking and interpersonal skills
• Able to generate budgets and detailed reports
• Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately
• Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads
• Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems
