Our client imports, exports and processes seafood products at their plant in Montague Gardens. They want to appoint a Cold Store Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the cold store and distribution department and to maintain stock integrity.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling of Cold store Operations, optimizing operational efficiency, including order picking and dispatching / goods received / production inputs and outputs / housekeeping / etc.
• Focus on continuous improvement and writing SOP’s.
• Planning department shifts, personnel workload and managing clocking system and weekly wage sign off.
• Manage staff and training
• Ensure WMS system integrity in place.
• Ensure food safety and general housekeeping rules are adhered to.
• Implement and manage equipment maintenance schedules.
• Manage cold store facilities maintenance.
• Manage cold stores consumables and budget.
• Responsibility for stock management and integrity.
• Corresponding with all departments (trading / production / logistics / etc).
• Managing the Cold Chain.
• Understanding of OHS for cold store.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A minimum of grade 12, while a degree or diploma in warehousing will
an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience on SAP software will be an advantage.
- Advanced level on Excel and MS Word is essential.
- At least 5 years in a managerial position in Operations in a cold store environment .
