COMMERCIAL LINES SHORT TERM INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE: INDEPENDENT BROKER

Employment: Permanent
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Salary: Negotiable – Market related

Essential requirements:
DOFA Date – Must work independently, applicants still working under supervision will not be considered.
Must have short term insurance experience visiting brokers, providing portfolio analysis, Loss Ratio analysis, IT support and Training.
At least two years short term insurance & client relations experience.
A formal qualification in the short-term insurance industry, e.g. Certificate of Proficiency (or better)
FAIS Fit and Proper – Full Qualification NQF4 and RE.
The main purpose of the position is to ensure the profitability, growth of the assigned portfolio and to build effective relationships with short term insurance Brokers.

Qualification:
A formal qualification in the short-term insurance industry, e.g. Certificate of Proficiency (or better)
Marketing Skills
Negotiation Skills
Presentation Skills
Basic knowledge of portfolio management (personal and commercial lines)
FAIS Fit and Proper – Full Qualification NQF4 and RE.
A Diploma in Marketing would be an advantage

Objectives and Responsibilities:
To ensure profitability of the assigned portfolio
To achieve the budgeted income targets
To implement the needs of the brokers
To ensure that the company exceeds broker service level expectations
To follow the company processes and procedures as determined.
To maintain profitability of the schemes by enforcing and adhering to rating and underwriting requirements
To adhere to the performance levels in accordance with SLA’s
To build relationships with internal and external business partners
To visit brokers as required, identify broker needs and resolve queries efficiently.
To conduct system training as required
Call on Brokers on a daily basis.
Visit Brokers frequently
Assist with system & admin queries
Discuss weekly / monthly reports with brokers and or regional leaders
Do one-on-one training
Attend regional meetings
System Demos to brokers
Assist with ad hoc queries / requests
Ensure growth and profitability
Reach Targets set
