Compliance Specialist

R35 000 – R37 500 pm

• Interpret legislation and its application to business
• Draft Compliance Alerts to be circulated to all affected business areas on legislative developments
• Maintain a register of all regulatory agreements
• Implement controls to mitigate compliance risk, check compliance monitoring activity and put in corrective actions
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and gather information
• Ensure that the relevant and appropriate information gathered is passed onto the HOC
• Sign-off on scripting and marketing material
• Draft, interpret, vet and manage all regulatory agreements (binder and outsourcing agreements)
• Conduct bi-annual conflict of interest declarations.
• Draft and ensure the Compliance Manual is kept up to date

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and skills

• At least 1-year experience in a Compliance role within the insurance industry. Long-term insurance experience preferable.
• Legal/Commercial/Risk Management Degree
• Risk/Compliance Management Certificate
• MS Office, Exclaim
