CONTROLLER Moulding
This position reports to: Moulding Manager

Primary Functions:
The Key performance areas of the Moulding Controller are:
• Manage resources & efficiency of the Mould Shop
• Supervision and Control of Supervisors, Setters, Operators and Plant Operations
• Meeting the production plan for moulded components: right quantity, quality and on-time delivery
• Take charge of and control quality related issues
• Control all aspects of materials handling and plastics manufacturing processes
• Ensure setters and operators follow prescribed manufacturing SOP and QC instructions
• Ensure the correct handling of raw materials, work orders, KANBAN and material issues
• Understand and know how to execute plant start-up and shut-down procedures
• Handling of clock system, attendance and discipline of resources
• Ensure Moulding employees maintain good performance and morale
• Maintain occupational health and safety in the plant – resources and machinery.
• Ensure ongoing training into all quality and safety related procedures and regulations
Qualifications and experience
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• National Diploma or BTech in Plastics Technology
• Practical knowledge of injection moulding and injection-compression moulding
• Minimum of 5 Years supervisory experience in a plastics moulding plant
• Working knowledge of KANBAN; BPCS & SPC would be an advantage
