ONLINE PR WRITER (WEBSITE, BLOGS, DIGITAL CONTENT WRITING)
The digital media field is growing rapidly, and new technologies are driving more users to the web. The website serves as the central hub to channel customers to learn more about your business or purchase your product and is a critical element of the content marketing strategy. Complemented with blogs, thought leadership articles, email marketing etc.; it can bring tremendous value to the digital marketing strategy of the college.
To achieve the objectives of the Content Marketing Strategy, Berea Group of Colleges seeks the services of an Online PR writer to join its PR and Communications team. The position is a new post within the PR and Communication’s division. It will grow to include other team members tasked with achieving the content objectives of the Digital Marketing strategy. The sole purpose of the role is to bring the content marketing strategy to life by crafting written content that speaks to the college audience and to research and build new and exciting content to grow its audience base in the distance and online learning environment.

Experience
• 2 years writing for websites, online and digital marketing.
• 1-2 years experience writing for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
• 1 year of experience in traditional PR writing.
• Experience in writing blogs and confidence in sharing opinion and thought leadership articles on education matters.
• Outstanding command of English, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong/advanced writing and content development abilities.
• Experience in working with and interpreting technical terminology.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent research skills.
• Knowledge of online tools/platforms.
• Deadline driven.
Education
• Degree/Diploma in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication or Media.
• 2-3 years of experience in writing.
