POSITION: SINGLE FACER OPERATOR
SITE: Corruseal Western Cape

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To run the single facer machine safely and productively, producing quality board according to required standards, operating instructions and company procedures.

REPORTING TO: Corrugator Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Check Run plan and carry out accordingly
• Report any defects to Team Leader
• Ensure that machine runs at optimum speed, whilst meeting specific targets
• Must be able to communicate with team members
• Check moisture of reels
• Avoidance of paper breaks and downtime
• Ensure Glue Unit is in position
• Adherence to 5S

KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
• Converse well in English
• Able to work weekends, overtime and flexible hours
• Must be pro-active and punctual
• Must be able to communicate with team members

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Matric Certificate
• Basic Mathematical Skills
• Must have more than five years experience in the corrugated industry.
• A formal qualification or an equivalent R.P.L trade test done by FP&M Seta for the corrugated industry
