RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large organisation in the PRINTING MANUFACTURING industry to recruit a COST & MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT to be based at their offices in MOBENI – R30 000 + medical aid and provident fund benefits

ESTABLISHED IN THE EARLY 1980s, OUR CLIENT IS ONE OF SOUTH AFRICA’S LARGEST MANUFACTURERS OF BOARD PACKAGING AND PRINTING.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Oversee and analyse cost expenditures and purchases, review services and goods, record data and make recommendations about cost-efficiency and financially feasibility and give advice and make recommendations about the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit.

The ideal candidate should have/be the following:

CIMA, qualified, ESSENTIAL.
Solid experience in a manufacturing environment, ESSENTIAL.
Experience in the printing/packaging industries, an advantage.
Advanced Excel skills.
Able to use financial software systems, preferably ABACA or similar.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Key responsibilities, but not limited to:

Analyse and recommend costs and cost savings.
Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
Analyse any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
Preparing reports, budgets and financial statements.
Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.

Remuneration:

R30 000 basic salary plus medical aid and provident fund benefits.
