Country Manager – Contaminated Site Management Division

The position is for a Country Manager, ideally a BEE lady for a Joint Venture Company established between a Water and Environmental
Consulting Company supporting the mining sector throughout Africa and an International Environmental Services Company working with the oil
and gas, renewables and water sectors throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Responsibilities:

• She will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple project investigations - seeing projects through from commencement to
completion. All project work must be carried out with due diligence, adhere to the procedures, and completed within the given cost budgets and
time scales agreed.
• She will be responsible for client liaison and for liaising with the local stakeholders to inform the Regional Managers of work pipeline.
• She would be expected to mentor staff and provide training and guidance where required.
• She must have an overall understanding of projects within their country and be abreast of project progression and invoicing.
• Her role is to ensure all project staff are aware of current regulations and updated when new regulations come into force.
• Her role is to ensure all general portfolio management items are delivered promptly and in accordance with the agreed schedule.
• She must ensure all Project Management deliverables and objectives are met.
• She will also be responsible for peer reviews of all technical reports.
• The position will report to the Directors of the JV Company and will be based at the Rivonia Office.

Qualifications:

• BSc/BEng Honours Degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related discipline.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Environmental Legislation (SA)
• Knowledge of contaminated land assessment, remediation of contaminant soils and water; including remediation design
• Health and Safety Regulations
• Project Costing/Budgeting
• Client Liaison.

Experience:

• 10 years’ project management experience in the oil and gas sector and in managing a technical team
