Our client is processing seafood products in Atlantis on the West Coast. They want to appoint a COVID-19 Officer who will be responsible to ensure that there is alignment within the company to adhere to all Covid-19 rules and regulations by undertaking inspections to monitor compliance and to conduct investigations if issues arise. The position will be on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. Only candidates with excellent writing and verbal communications skills should apply.
Responsibilities: Do daily screenings of Co-morbidities; keep Office Register of to see if employees report symptoms, if so they must be individually screened; When a positive case is reported then the applicable employees in their department are to be screened for 7 days and/or until negative results is received; Report positive cases to Department of Labour & Department of Health; Ensure all applicable paperwork is collected, signed etc. and handed to the correct parties and filed; Once positive case employee returns, employee must be screened and issued with surgical masks for 7 days; Implementation and maintaining of COVID-19 regulations; Ensure that policies and processes at sites are aligned and executed; Conducting weekly meetings with COVID-19 marshals; Issuing of permits when required in level lockdowns; and Drafting and Issuing of all notices.
Requirements
• Must have their own/reliable transport as the candidate might have to wait until nightshift starts at 17h30 if there are Covid cases/documentation that need to be finalized with nightshift employees.
• Need to be PC literate, especially in Ms Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. as there are a lot of spreadsheets and data that need to be processed electronically.
• It will be crucial for the person to be able to design/implement systems (paper-based/electronically) so that documentation and information can be accessed easily and quickly.
• Self-driven individual who can independently manage the monitoring and reporting of Covid cases/processes.
• Willing to work overtime and/or on weekends as and/or when required. The workload on monitoring and reporting of Covid cases can be great at times, therefore we need a dedicated, committed and self-driven individual.

Qualifications

• A minimum of matric, while a qualification in Business Administration will be beneficial.
• At least 6 months Covid-19 administration experience and 2 to 3 years general administration experience.
