CUSTOMER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE/TECHNICAL BUYER

SALARY: R33 000 PLUS BENEFITS

REPORTS TO: Logistics Supervisor
FUNCTION: Sales
DISCIPLINE: Sales Support
HOURS: 8.00AM TO 4.30 PM

The Customer Service Representative works as an integral member within the Spares Team and is responsible for following specific policies and procedures relating to the role.
You need a strong technical buying background as this is a position within LOGISTICS
You need to read and understand technical drawings
Worked in a Project Engineering environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Build and maintain a professional Customer relationship, whilst continually striving for service excellence and making us the preferred supplier to our Customers
• Receive, review and respond to Customer requests for Spares quotations / enquiries according to departmental KPI’s
• Ensure that Customer requirements are processed including consideration to applicable customs regulations.
• Process Customer order entries and keeping the Customer informed of their order progress.
• Maintain Customer quotes and sales orders within the company database.
• On time delivery; interaction with internal departments to ensure the Customer promise dates / demands are met.
• Act as liaison with Customers, whilst interacting with various Company Divisions to resolve amongst others, technical issues relating to Spares.
• Close communication / assistance with Customers on all information relating to Spares affecting their business operations.
• Work closely with Purchasing department to ensure accuracy of system product lead times and assist in any areas for improvement.
• Work with Management to attend to and document Customer complaints and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly Customer sales reports as arranged
• Work closely with Capital Sales department to identify and follow up on Spares orders as required
• Participate in the rotational on-call system

Qualifications: Highly technical individual with proven customer relationship experience

Skills, training or special knowledge Exceptional organisational skills
Microsoft Excel, Word/high level PC Skills

Quality Assurance Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.

Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.
Training- Participate in training where required.
Health, Safety and Environment Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction.
