Duties:
Forecasting:

•Agree and manage forecasts with Marketing for every new menu and promotional item

•Ensure the correct forecasts as best as possible to ensure no out of stocks and manage risk

•Forecasting in a fast pace, always changing environment

•Manage Marketing menu and promotional product timelines to ensure product forecasts are submitted as per the agreed critical path timelines

•Enhance current and develop new accurate
forecasting models & processes
•Measuring forecasting accuracies and their consistency with previous plans; highlighting any variances

•Analyse macro-economic environment and potential implications to the forecasts and business


Analysis & reporting:

•Preparation of insightful and streamlined weekly and monthly reports that are of consistent high quality, finalised timeously and relevant and meaningful

•Undertake detailed analysis and provide insightful reports for new product launches, promotions, trial tests, pricing

•Build, maintain and continuously update dynamic menu and promotional item performance tracking against forecast reports in order to communicate performance

•Investigation of variances to plan, previous trends and prior years through comprehensive analysis and assessment

•Continually review and refine the quality of reports to ensure they support and inform appropriate decisions by senior management

Other

•Partner with IT in driving automation of reports through Business Intelligence (Power BI)

•Identify dependencies, inefficiencies and find solutions to improve overall performance and effective reporting thereof;

•Understand, adapt and prioritise the business needs accordingly; and consistently manage own priorities to achieve all deliverables

•Support Marketing Brand Heads on ad hoc projects and presentation


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
FORMAL EDUCATION

•A relevant B. Com/B.Sc. (Finance, Analytics or Statistics) degree with Honours /Masters degree
•Advanced level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint


EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Power BI will be advantageous
• Analytical mindset with experience in translating data into relevant insights
• Understanding of the FMCG environment would be advantageous
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
