We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intermediate to Data Analyst to join our growing data team. This role will be crucial in leveraging our extensive data assets to provide actionable insights, drive strategic decisions, and improve outcomes within the financial services and/or healthcare domains. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data modeling and visualization techniques, and practical experience working with AWS cloud-based data platforms and AWS Migration. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, transform, and analyze large and complex datasets from various sources, including transactional systems, operational databases, and external APIs.
Develop and maintain robust data models and reporting dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Conduct in-depth statistical analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and translate findings into clear and concise business recommendations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different business units (e.g., finance, risk, clinical operations, marketing) to understand their data needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
Design and execute A/B testing and other experiments to measure the impact of business initiatives.
Develop and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and analytical processes.
Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Architects to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility on the AWS cloud platform.
Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, financial services, and healthcare.
Mentor and guide junior data analysts, as needed.
Minimum Requirement
Bachelor’s in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Informatics, or a related discipline.
AWS migration is a must have.
3-5+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the financial services and/or healthcare industries.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
Practical experience working with AWS cloud services such as S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, and QuickSight.
Experience with data wrangling and ETL processes.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) or financial services regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a significant advantage (tailor based on the primary sector).
