Degree (Honours, Masters or PHD) at a NQF level 8, 9 or 10 respectively in statistics, Computer Science,
Engineering, Mathematics and/or combination of these.
? Relevant data science certifications i.e. Phython, Microsoft, AWS, Hadoop, big data, machine learning, cloud
infrastructure.
? Project management/agile certifications i.e. scrum, Prince2.
WORK EXPERIENCE
? A minimum of 6-8 years’ experience working on data science related projects.
? A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing teams of people.
? Proven experience with Python/R and tools/frameworks in the analytics/ML ecosystem i.e. numpy, pandas,
matplotlib, SciPy stack and working in Jupyter notebooks.
? Experience with SQL and working with large-scale data sets.
? Knowledge and practical experience in applying statistical machine learning techniques to predictive
modelling.
? Extensive relevant experience managing large scale data projects.
? Experience in operationalising data science solutions or similar product development
